While at CCRI I traveled abroad twice to Hungary with my Ceramics class. We stayed at the INTERNATIONAL CERAMICS STUDIO in Kecskemét. We learned from master ceramicists and got access to amazing materials, local clay, tours of their private collections and catacomb, and tour of the Herend Porcelain Museum. I learned how to load/unload and fire raku and wood kilns. We not only learned about historic Hungarian art but we saw the sights, ate the local food (goulash is my favorite food ever) and toured local farmers markets. I truly can say this experience changed my life and i learned so much in such a beautiful place!
